Sec 1

I have seen Mamaroneck play several times so I am not sure waht you mean by the statement"anyone who has seen them knows how legit they are" I am not trying to be arguementative, but can you explain? I think they are a solid team, but the press they get is in fact blown out of proportion. Coming from a coaching, recruting and scouting background, I see many holes in this team, so I am curious to hear why they are so good from a fan's perspective.

I have seen Mamaroneck play several times and I am not sure what you mean by the statement"anyone who has seen them knows how legit they are" I am not not trying to be arguementative, but I am curious as to how you are assessing this? I think they are a solid HS team, but the press they get is blown out of proportion. Coming from a coaching, scouting and recruting perspective I see quite a few holes with this team, so I really would like to hear what a fan's analysis is

Section 1:

I have seen Mamaroneck play several times and I am not sure what you mean by the statement"anyone who has seen them knows how legit they are" Out of curiousity how are you truly assessing this? This is not to be arguementative, I jsut want to see why from a fan's perspective. I do feel they are a solid HS team, but the praise they seem to be getting is a little blown out of proportion. There are quite a few holes in this team. I have been involved in coaching, scouting and recruting, so my views may be different...

... the game ended on a double play with a line drive being hit to the second baseman who in turn threw to first to double up the base runner.. I call that being fortunate to escape an embarassing loss to an average team.. to bad New Ro's top pitcher doesn't get to pitch against Mam'k. That is what many coaches are doing, other coaches do not throw their #1 so that they can save him for another team in their division that they have a better shot of winning the game, rather then facing Mam'k.. To coaches I say go with your best against the best, if Mam'k is the best.
It'll be an interesting section 1 tournament.

Rumor has it that Mamaroneck has the #1 Freshman team in the country. Is this the case, or just a rumor?

The players on the bench should always be ready to play and are also athletes. To say that they never see the field is wrong. They had to make the team. It is not like bench players in little league who are only playing because their parents need babysitters. If Mam is that good they should have been able to stay competitive with New Ro with their subs.

With Mamks weak schedule it is easy for them to spot their weak pitchers against the weak competition in their league and save Hagan for the tougher teams. If they were in 1-c no way they would be able to do that. Those teams play a tough team every single day... there are no gimme games in that league.
