Mahopac 8, R.C. Ketcham 2: At Mahopac, R.C. Ketcham suffers their first lost of the season. C.J. Riefenshauser allowed two runs, four hits, four walks, and nine strike outs. Teammate Nick Barbalatto went 2 for 4 and had two RBI.
Rye Country Day 10, King & Low Heywood-Thomas 1: At RCDS, Sean Bryant (two home runs) and Marco Blasetti (two home runs) combined to go 5 for 8 with five runs scored and seven RBI. Evan Oleson pitched five innings, gave up one run and had seven strikeouts.
Dobbs Ferry 5, Tuckahoe 1: At Tuckahoe, Sean Lafaye and Time Gardner had two RBI each for the Eagles. Patrick Sicliano had one RBI for the Tigers
Briarcliff 9, Byram Hills 6: At Byram Hills, James Lombardi had a three-run home run for the Bears. Chris Riso went 2 for 4 with two doubles and had two RBI for the Bobcats.
North Salem 12, Haldane 2: At North Salem, Robbie Brent had a three-run home run. Mike Impellitere had an RBI.
Rye Neck 11, Blind Brook 6: At Blind Brook, Mike Anderson went 3 for 5 with a triple and three RBI for the Panthers. Rob Magliano had a double and a single with an RBI and a run for the Trojans.
Our Lady of Lourdes 9, Peekskill 2: At Peekskill, Harold Smith had a triple and a single with and RBI for the Red Devils.
Putnam Valley 4, Pleasantville 3: At Pleasantville, Michael Vallo scored the winning run in the sixth inning with a solo home run. Teammate Gennaro Zimbaldi went 2 for 3 with two RBI. Will Andreycak had two base hits and two RBI for the Panthers.
Eastchester 11, Edgemont 1: At Edgemont, Joe Hogan had a solo home run for the Eagles. Tom Medico pitched a complete game, gave up one run and had nine strikeouts. Jess Eagel had one RBI for the Panthers.
Kennedy 14, Croton-Harmon 2: At Kennedy, Luis Gonzalez went 3 for 3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs in the win. Joe Tralli had an RBI for the Tigers.
Nanuet 16, Sleepy Hollow 3: At Nanuet, Dan Diaz had four hits, including two doubles and a triple, and drove in three runs. Winning pitcher Stephen Prosapio struck out eight and also doubled, tripled and scored four runs.
Keio 6, Valhalla 0: At Valhalla, Jun Takeuchi pitched five scoreless innings and knocked in two RBI for the Unicorns. Jake Douglass went 1 for 3 with a double for the Vikings.
Iona Prep 7, Xavier 5: At Red Hook Field in Brooklyn, Alex Adami pitched from both sides to equal three scoreless innings to earn the win. He pitched (and earned the win) righty for two innings, striking out three and allowing one walk. He also pitched lefty for an inning, allowing a hit and a walk. Teammate John Barbezat went 3 for 3 and had two RBI.
Rye 5, Ardsley 3: At Rye, Christopher Triano went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI. Adam Stein homered for the Panthers.
Ossining 10, Arlington B 1: At Ossining, Ramsey Safieh and Christian Federico had two RBI each for Ossining. Matt Dubray pitched a complete game allowing one run.
Pearl River 14, Albertus Magnus 4: At Albertus Magnus, Anthony Raimone opened the game with a solo home run for the Pirates. Raimone finished the night 3 for 3 with a walk, two RBI and three runs. Teammate Josh Mendelson went 3 for 5 with two doubles and three RBI. Mike Velazquez had a triple and an RBI for the Falcons.





Josh Thomson has done some of everything since joining The Journal News in
March 2003. He began working for the Gannett weeklies during the winter of
2002 as a freelance writer. He joined the daily staff soon after and has
since covered various high school and pro sports. Away from sportswriting,
Josh lives in Westchester and spends his free time either with his
fiancee, Sarah, or expertly managing his various championship-winning
fantasy sports teams. He's visited 21 major-league baseball stadiums and
insists that Fenway Park and Wrigley Field are the best by far. Josh
graduated from Carmel High School in 1998, then went to Boston University,
where, in 2002, he received a degree in communications with a minor in
history.
Jake Thomases has covered baseball, hockey, girls basketball, and girls soccer for the Journal News since arriving in 2003. He previously interned at The Poughkeepsie Journal while attending Vassar College. He is socking money away under his mattress to buy the Knicks, at which time he will trade Jerome James to Cleveland for a ham sandwich.

The Class B playoofs are going to be something special this year. You have Kennedy who has proven to be the clear favorite, then you have a TON of teams really battling it out for the number two spot in class B. You have Putnam Valley, Briarcliff, Pleasanvtille, Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Rye NEck, Bronxvile who are all solid teams Class B is extremely deep this year, and the plyoffs should be special
