To tell a coach someone "will" play in writing or you're fired is something the public should know more about... Bottom line is the coach was asked to sign a document specifying playing time for a particular player as long as that player met certain requirements spelled out in the document. The meeting was held because the player was told he was not welcome on the team his senior year after letting his teammates down his junior year. The spin I saw on this blog a couple of months ago was that everyone agreed to the deal and then the Coach refused to sign. I find it hard to believe that any Coach would have ever agreed to such a ludicrous request. The player is not important even though the players parents should be embarassed to even go to bat for him under such circumstances.
