Guys im a player on the team......... Have u ever heard of the silent treatment????? When Danny homered we decided to act like he did not even hit it, and act like we did not care. So dont judge a book by its cover saying that we should have a smile on our face unless u know the full story!!!! What do u think we were upset that he homered.... No! We were giving him the silent treatment... end of story!!!

I have to agree with TCFAN Tone Capone has the greatest mustache of all time. I go to sleep every night dreaming that I could have his mustache.

Baseball guy, nobody said you can't give a guy a high five. But a whole team running out of the dugout to meet a guy at home plate hooting and hollering in the 3rd inning is ridiculous and embarrassing. Unfortunately not only do the kids do it, but some of the coaches condone it and actually take part in it. I think the point was that Cecere is a professional, the stupidity of a coach acting like a cheerleader, living and dying on every single pitch, questioning every darn call is a joke and embarrassing. It is no wonder that some coaches never reached a high level of coaching. Dom did, he was a pitching coach for a professional team. I don't think any professional program or any reputable college program would ever hire a clown/cheerleader coach.
Dom shows class and composure... 2 traits not seen in a whole lot of coaches in high school these days.

One reason why the bench is still at the bench after the homer is this. ALWAYS, the players behaviors mimick the head coach. Don Cecere is a class coach... not a cheerleader who is constantly bantering and encouraging his team to waste their energy in the borderline trash talk that goes on on many teams. The kids can high five him in the dugout, there is no reason in the 3rd inning to run out there like it was a walkoff homer. Dom is not a head cheerleader in the 3rd base box bantering and questioning every ball strike call, and jumping up and down all game with no composure. Dom has class, and knows baseball and how it is supposed to be played, he is not a jokester clown in the third base box always crying and complaining and talking up a storm and trying to make the team all about himself. I think we all know a coach who DOES do that.
Dom Cecere will be missed when he decides to step down. It is great watching his teams play baseball, even when it is a down year. They play the game and behave the right way.
