  1. wow

josh .. of all the seasons you’ve covered Section 1, where does the season Hourihan’s having for lakeland rank individually? I know their schedule was light early on, but they’ve faced some more competitive teams lately and his production has actually increased. I’m not a lakeland fan, just a fan of good baseball. And from the numbers I’m seeing, when you combine hitting and pitching, I’d just love to hear if anyone’s approached this kind of season before.

  2. a fan

That’s not all the results. North beat South 2-1.

  3. a fan

That’s not all of the results. Clarkstown North beat Clarkstown South 2-1.

  4. fan

Brendan Hourihan is unstoppable..u cant get the ball by him at the plate. and nobody can hit him when hes pitching. Unbelievable!

  5. fan2

brendan is haveing a great year, but ask any college coach.or
top summer team, lets see how he doing in the summer, when he plays real teams, he looks good on stats, but they play teams that any good girl softball team could beat!!!

  6. Pearl River win

Did Putnick pitch for Pearl River over Kennedy? He is under-rated. Basically because he was in Giblins shadow last year, but he was a huge part of last years success.

  7. Baseballer

Pearl River didnt need to waste Putnick to beat JFK, this is the time of year where JFK usually chokes. Havent you noticed how quiet the JFK faithful have become and how certain proclaimed allstars have gone into funks?

  8. topps

Kennedy let this one go…carona the catcher was hurt with a bad ankle, needed to rest it.Dowd was out sick and it was senior day, players got to play who dont usually play…although I must admit they did look a little out of it.but a good ass kickin usually wakes players up..

  9. Pearl River

    Topps,
Every team has injuries and illness through the season. It is a weak man who uses that as an excuse when they lose. I don’t remember teams making excuses when they lost to you guys. Your backup players are there for a reason… to fill in and do the job. That is your team. Man up , you lost. Nobody cares about the excuses.

  10. jfk

no1 said we were makin excuses we lost u guys outplayed us but i think 20-3 kinda speaks 4 itself

  11. KFJ

The kid who pitched for Pearl River was very good. He was on his game. Hats off to him.
Kennedy comes back today and beats Eastchester 8-3. The Kennedy faithfull are still around. WE just don’t need to toot our horn. Our record, schedule and stats speak for themselves.
