Update – I meant to say North Rockland before, not South.

Anyway, I heard North Rockland beat North 5-3 in eight innings. I don’t have further details so pass them along if you get them.

Also, Mamaroneck now leads Suffern 13-3 in the sixth.

Mamaroneck leads Suffern 8-0 in the fifth. Mike Rosenfeld hit a three run homer in the first.

To those curious, neither Sean Hagan nor Robbie Aviles pitched. Mamaroneck saved Hagan until tomorrow vs. John Jay East Fishkill.

Also, I heard South scored four against North to take a 5-1 lead. Not sure what inning.

  1. Baseball

    Somers 10-9 over John Jay.

  2. MAMK dominance

Looks like our boys from mamaroneck can not find competition in section 1. Playoffs should be a joke as Mamk is looking forward to the state playoffs for some competition.

  3. BBFAN21

Mamk Dom- Nice try Suffern (from blogs last week). No one from Mamaroneck would have written that.

  4. Be Careful

Hey Mamaroneck fans, your good but don’t get carried away. The Sections will be a whole different season.

That’s not a Mamaroneck fan, it’s someone trying to be funny… flop

Mamaroneck is #1 in the state. They have a right to think that they will win the state. Duh, shouldnt the #1 ranked team in the state win the whole shabang? Nobody can beat them, they are dominant in every area, and the rest of the league should just phone in the forfeits. Sure they can’t beat Don Bosco or even give them a game, but as far as NY state teams are concerned nobody except Carmel beat them (when it counted the most). In the last two years Mamk is like 40-0 against new york state teams in the regular season. But one and done in the NY state sectional playoffs. Lets see if Mamk can win when it counts, the regular season is one big pre-season… now it matters.

  7. Be Careful

Mamaroneck fans your out in the 2nd round of the Sections. Other than Hagen your pitching staff stinks, Your 14-0 against teams that have a combind record of 53-68, and that would be worse but they have to play each other 3 times (someone has to win). Don’t get carried away yet.

  8. SECTION 1 FAN

    Jake
What do the seeding look like with only 1 or 2 games left in the season for most.

  9. mam bb

Avilas should have pitched today it was his turn and this way he could have shown what type of pitcher he really is. Like his brother Suffern never pitches him against any of the top teams afraid his era will go up and look what happened to his brother in sections. Avilas will now pitch against south On Tuesday this will be the third time he will be facing them. I thought the schedules were made that two games were always close together so one team would not see the same pitcher. We would have crushed Avilas today. We are the real dea.
