September
23

Former Byram Hills coach and Lakeland baseball star Quentin Lindsey was given probation today in a White Plains courthouse for secretly videotaping underage girls last year at Byram Hills High School.

Lindsey, who pleaded guilty to the charges, coached the Bobcats at the beginning of last season before he resigned shortly after his arrest.

    voyeurism is coolll..

  2. curtis

    oh yea

  3. Stupid

Josh, the choice to put this story here during a time when there is so much positive going on with college choices etc, is just plain stupid. This guy has an illness and your exploiting it. Then you give idiots like the 2 above a forum to make comments under false ID’s. Let’s try and stick to the topic of the blogs, HS baseball and not the rap sheet section.

  4. V Good

this guy was like many of the other coaches in Section 1. they sit and watch while their players get scholarships playing during the summer. this guy just watched from his backpack.
i agree this doesn’t belong here. the man needed help

  5. Are u Kidding

Josh, better to be silent and be thought the fool.. then to write about this and remove all doubt! Are you that bored?

  6. Baseball U

This is a baseball blog and this guy was a HS baseball coach in Section 1…..I am glad that this story is published so that we all will be able to make sure that this voyeur does not exploit another child due to his fetish..Are you idiots who are calling for silence interested when a sex offender moves in to your neighborhood, or do you want the police to keep it quiet…Good job Josh, and please let us know about the arest and adjudication of any other HS teacher or coach from the area.

  7. Sick

Is it really a fetish or a sickness? I feel this was material for the front pages not a hs baseball blog. Y es he was a hs coach but his target was not hs baseball players.
You want the sensationalism and the current news, buy a paper and you’ll be kept up to date. Read the front page of LOHUD.com. This guy was a coach and his actions outside of baseball got him arrested. He deserves to be punished to the full extent the law allows. This however is not a baseball issue. I don’t think baseball u ( a team name) really has an interest here although the person using it may.
VGOOD I agree with your statement about the hs coaches. Cheap shot, but true.

  8. BB

You are all ridiculous. This is a HS Baseball blog, and this guy was a HS Baseball coach. It definitely belongs on this blog. When I went to ESPN.com the other day, I saw a headline for the Jacksonville player that was shot and had to have his leg amputated. Obviously ESPN didn’t say “hey that’s a criminal/social/human interest story, so it belongs on CNN and not ESPN!”. Josh is doing his job by reporting on a story that directly effects a HS baseball coach. It’s not like he posted something on the strength coach for the baseball team. I feel bad for the coach, but let’s not start nit-picking on what kinds of HS baseball news belongs on the HS baseball blog. Josh, keep up the great work!

  9. FB

I never saw anything posted here about Bill Menchen, former Kennedy coach who was in the paper numerous times. Are we selective about which coaches and which crimes we write about?

  10. Logic

Yeah and Menchen is worse, both very sick.

  11. Sebastian

    GLORY TO THE HILLS!!!

  12. HMM???

Hey Josh, no word or information on the newest verbal committments? There are at least 3 or 4 since Volve and actually there wasn’t much on Volpe

  13. Ear to the Wall

Chris Connelly from Saugerties has committed to St Peter’s University. He was a member of the Clippers this summer and played on the Gold Medal winning HV Empire State team. Congratulations to Chris !!

  14. BIllyBarty

I played with and against Lindsey in high school. This is really sad news. However, I don’t think anybody looks to kindly on this stuff and hopefully he gets what he deserves. Good reporting, Josh. The public should know all about sex offenders, especially when it involves kids. Even worse, he is working in Education. Why shouldn’t it be published? Are you guys kidding me?

  15. facts

when you find a child offender post it everywhere. on baseball blogs, on billboards, and stick it to the telephone poles…....if it were your child who was victimized you would not be so selective in how the word gets out….this pervert needs to be exposed by all media options possible, including baseball, football, and yes..cheerleading blogs, girls soccer , girls field hockey etc.
