Leading off

Baseball in the Lower Hudson Valley

Mamaroneck 4, Massapequa 3 (11 innings)

June
13

For anyone not following along, Mamaroneck fell behind 3-0, came back to tie it, needed seven innings of three-hit shutout ball in relief from Matt McGovern, stranded a million baserunners and finally won it on a walkoff single by Mike Rosenfeld with the bases jacked and no outs in the bottom of the 11th. That’s all.

Anyway, the Tigers will meet either Columbia (Section 2) or Clarence (Section 6) later on at NYSEG. I’m not sure what time it will start but you can be rest assured it won’t be anywhere near 4 p.m. Columbia just completed its warmups. Clarence is on the field for warmups now.

I’m working on a postgame wrap up now. Hang tight…
