  3. observation

A scout would know how to spell “considering.” He also seems to know an awful lot of information about Bradshaw, probably more than the pitcher’s own coaches.

  4. LOHUD BASEBALL

Here comes a-hole bradshaw lover , give it up CLOWN,,ur kid had a chance and did not get it done vs fordham..not even the top pitcher on his high school team…...UNC, UVA ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  5. Luck

does iona have any good hitters other than moran coming back next year?

  6. "Scout"

Let’s be serious here…anyone can read the papers and see about where guys are going/where they are looking. I can tell you from a firsthand prospective, Bradshaw has a good fastball. But he is out of shape, lazy and has a bad attitude. ANY of these schools you listed would completely walk away from an 88-90 mph fastball with no other redeeming qualities. Wake up from the dream and let’s be truthful here. And if its your son, hopefully your wallet is large because these scholarships you are probably expecting won’t be there for you. What a joke post that was.

  7. hah

why bother to say bradshaw is considering such schools, he is clearly not at that level

  8. Remember

Bradshaw got shelled last summer in the 15U N.Y. State Babe Ruth tournament by mamaroneck

  9. Bill 707

St. Johns seems like a good possibility. UNC and UVA.. cmon..

  10. ip

i thnink a lot of u shud pay attention to colin moran cuz he is the most underrated player in the league and top 5 hitter in wetchester and the chsaa. hes better than steve martinez. only it doesnt show cuz nobody else on iona can hit i mean who is there to help out moran with the bat does iona hav anybody else who cud at least hit over .300?

  11. Cardinal

is he related to the Moran on UNC that got drafted?

  12. ip

    yes they are brothers

  13. HRs

“Scout” I tend to agree with you, but the issues you mentioned can be fixed. If he throws that hard, he is going to get noticed. Now I am not endorsing what the self-proclaimed scout says. His posts tend to be full of hot air. But what I do know is the kid is playing on a good summer program this year with two excellent coaches(Coach Gorman and Aviles) If he takes the time to listen to them and shape up, a few of those schools will come calling.

  14. steppyact

what summer team is that?? i think his dad has him on 10 or more rosters this summer. good tactic when you can not hit a lick. eddie byrne was the better pitcher and the go to guy on stepinac this year….and he finally just landed a baseball offer.. don’t believe the hype from fat lazy chokers or their next of kin.

  15. HRs

Steppy the Rockland Astros. I don’t know him nor have I ever met him. All I know is if he actually comes to their games and listens, it will go a long way.

  16. steppyact

not happening brother. he is on the bronx royals roster, the clippers roster etc….a product of his father’s imagination and ability to self promote. ...he was not the top pitcher on stepinac this year..eddie byrne was and is… good luck to him. but lose 20 pounds and lose the attitude would be my reccomendation to playing at a local college… .uva, unc ...forgetaboutit

  17. beisbol

where did byrne get an offer from? is he playing in college?

  18. steppyact aka loser

Before you make a bigger fool of yourself, learn how to spell. lololol These blogs are so entertaining. What an illiterate bunch. Must be that great Catholic school education

  19. HRs

Steppy you may be right. Although the Astros are a tournament team. They do not play a rigorous schedule. Here is their website:

    http://rocklandastros.com/

  20. "Scout"

My original post wasn’t to bash the kid, because I don’t believe that one gets any benefit in trash-talking a teenager. He does have a golden arm and can throw the ball very hard. IF, and a big emphasis on that word, he gets in shape, cleans up his attitude and listens to the right people (not my discretion to make either), then he has the opportunity to become a very good player. At this point in time, however, it is almost laughable to consider that he is being recruited by any of the schools above. The only reason any D-1 school would look at him would be because of his arm, and these upper echelon schools that are mentioned have no business recruiting a kid with what they believe is an average fastball and nothing else to presently offer.

  21. What?

These blogs are an open forum for people to sit in the privacy of their own home and bash teenagers. It is done on a consistent basis and is a disgrace. It is bad enough that kids do it to kids but when adults get in the mix, you should all hang your heads in shame. Your last post was at 11:44 P.M. and obviously you have nothing better to do than to bash teenagers. The only thing that you wrote that is truthful is that there is no benefit in trash-talking teenagers yet you proceeded to do it anyway (again). Give it up and get a life. Coward.

  22. Real Scout

    What?

Why don’t you get lost. No one is trashing anyone….Some purported “LOHUD SCOUT” gave a biased scouting report on certain players….Some other “Scout” gave his baseball opinion about that player.

Do you want to perpetuate lies and false hype or are you interested in the truth? The blogs get to the truth….Stop spreading falsities because they will be refuted. Sometimes the truth hurts.

  23. to real scout

You should get lost. The blogs get to the truth? Who cares? It is high school baseball not matters of national security. You are another adult who doesn’t get it. All of you need to grow up. “Get to the truth”. That’s a good one. Losers

  24. HRs

to real scout.. Let me preface by saying that I didn’t attack Bradshaw whatsoever. Nor is it right to bash a HS athlete. Now with that being said, some of the comments made can be viewed as constructive. I for one don’t know if it is true, but if I were the player and I read this, I would look to prove people wrong. Sometimes you need a reality check to better yourself. Just my honest opinion..

  26. really?

“Fat, lazy choker” is constructice criticism? As I said, this is an open forum to talk trash without having to back it up. Welcome to the wimpy internet age. It’s easy to have a big mouth in the safety of the confines of your own home. I agree with steppyact aka loser re: steppyact.
Learn how to spell grade school words before you give your simpleton opinion on anything. Seriously, you look like a a fool. Get the picture people? I mean cowards.

  27. really?

That was a test. Does anyone see a spelling error on the previous post? Probably not. Too busy pecking away at your keyboards. LOLOLOL

  28. HRs

As I stated in my post I said “some” comments not all. Instead of worrying about spelling, you should focus on reading. You also talk of being a big mouth on the internet, look in the mirror you clown. And trust me you wouldn’t be spouting off, if you were in front of me. You look like a jack off now, so I hope you are proud. Now go change your screen name another time you loser.

  29. really?

Hostile, are we? lolololol What a bunch! Thanks for a good laugh.

  30. PItching Coach

    David wells did pretty well.

If you are flexible, throw 90 plus you have a chance.

    Bradshaw has a shot
