OK folks, let’s reign in the commentary please. I’d appreciate it.

Obviously, only so many players are going to make a list like this. While there may be others who are equally deserving, that doesn’t mean these weren’t two of the best players in the section. They both absolutely fall into that category.

really? Please stop with your know it all attitude. I read some of your other comments on another thread. And all you did was attack other bloggers, change screen names and write pointless comments. So, no offense but who are you to tell anyone how they should view certain aspects of life? You want to make a point then make one, but stop preaching like you are the only one that matters. Your authorative tone is a joke.

Oh and I still stand by the fact that name calling on a blog shouldn’t impact kids lives. Apparently I was raised differently than you and now so are my kids. I am not critizing you on your beliefs, so don’t criticize mine.

What gets lost is my main point and that is the word “sue” coming up around name calling from bloggers? Like this is some type of a crisis in our society. Trashing someone period is in appropriate, but that comes with athletics. I do not condon this behavior but I also think people are being a little to sensative.

having seen both olesczuk amd mercurio this season i would agree that olesczuk is the better all around 5 tool player.

haven’t seen graczyk , but his stats are scary….

don’t believe the hype or what influential dads or coaches can get done by way of awards.

we all know who are the best baseball players in the section ....we should not look at awards received to tell us what we already know.

Only a complete miserable loser would make a comment squashing any kids dream. Whether they make it or not…. They are already winners (competing on the field of play) , while you sit in a dark room, all envious and jealous, and type negativity about high school kids whose lives are about to take off.

olesczuk is easily 10 times better than mercurio…he led the section in almost everything…just shows how much being all american is just a matter of who you know

everyone who is freaking out bc these r kids needs to relax. no one is saying mercurio is a bad player they are simply saying they thought others were better. also i was a player on a very good high school basketball team two years ago and had no problem with what people on the blog about me or my teammates its not a big deal.

The fact that you admit to being an adult in your late forties who thinks comments like this won’t affect kids lives is scary. You should know better. Many of these comments are vicious and in case you have forgotten are written about KIDS in high school. These are not professional athletes who live in the public eye and whose lives are subject to public scrutiny. Many of the kids who are being discussed by what apparently are competitive, jealous idiots aren’t asking to have their names put out there. They do something newsworthy in HIGH SCHOOL and that makes them fair game for vicious attacks??? Be serious. It is easy for you to say that you have the right to ignore it but the point is that it is not right that it is being done in the first place. People can trash talk other people on these blogs and not have to take responsibility for their actions. Sadly, kids are hurt in the process.

how can you say that grazcyk is not an all american. He batted .613 with a slugging percentage over 1.000. He is incredible, i was told that he told his coach “what do i have to do? Hit a homerun?” next at bat graczyk gets up and hits a homerun
