is the kid from beacon going to pitch to any aa schools ????
If you mean romanelli ..he can pitch against anybody in section 1 ..great kid ..
Parent. His rotation should have him throwing against ketchem
john 711 , i bet he is a great kid , but to be a dominant player you need to pitch against the big dogs , not lourdes and peekskill , i am sure he is good but to be elite like the ketcham kid you need to do it against them
Parent. If you know him like a lot of people do know he can pitch he’s beat many elite teams in his young career. High school and High talented travel teams. His rotation didn’t fall on those days.He just beat a great kennedy team thurday.0 er over 6 inns. He’s only a sophmore he will have some bad outings its about growing as a pitcher. He has great potental and he’s a southpaw that’s why a lot of schools are looking at him. He’s not a Lamondo but give him a chance he not ducking nobody but give him a chance he’s only 16.
Well said ..he has played with my son and the mahopac kids on several occasions and against him numerous times …he will be a household name soon enough ..good luck Tony !
Speaking of highly talented sophomores, Mahopac’s Kevin Kernan continuing his success against Brewster 5-2 on Tuesday. Good job, Kev. Keep up the good work!
Shhhhh..not allowed to talk about mahopac on here ..only mam..WP and briarcliff..
Oops! Forgot! I did see the post. So sorry : )
But then again… _ is 9-0-1 and _ is a lights out sophomore who is being supported by _ _ and _ __ who are tearing the cover off the ball.
hudson valley baseball, i wish him all the best but to be in that top class you need to produce against them and i am sure he will only time will tell
The way the rotation sets up, it looks like Tony Romanelli will pitch against Lakeland at the stadium on the 30th, Ketcham on 5/5, Panas on 5/10, and Hen Hud on 5/16. Anyone know if Lamondo is scheduled to pitch that game on 5/5?
lamondo to pitch most likly 4/30/12 against Jay might be ready for beacon
Tony also pitches on 4/30. Lamondo should be ready on 4 days rest, no? I am looking forward to seeing him pitch. I hear he throws serious heat backed by an outstanding breaking ball. And I know he can hit the crap out of the ball.
Throws low 90
Not sure about that ..
Bring your gun and he will prove it
My son played with and against him ..big difference between mid to upper 80’s and low 90’s ..he’s on his way ..don’t think he’s there yet
Well I don’t think there is any disputing that he is an exceptional baseball talent. How has he pitched this year? Has he given up any earned runs?
Lamondo clocked at 91 at perfect game
I guess I should ask if he’s given up any HITS!
Lamando ERA
around 2.0 but dropping. He has consecutive shutouts after giving up 2+ 4 earned in his first two v. JJCR + FL. He's K'ing just under two per inning. Seems to be hitting his stride. Todd also averaging over one K per inning, which makes it a bit easier for the yound D behind them, as they are starting two sophs in the MIF. Paskoswki (clean up man) and Lamando both over .500 with the two sophsaround .400 leading their offense. One big ? for them is their pitching behind those two kids, which is gonna play a factor for them somewhere down the line. Those kids getting some innings recently and starting to hold their own as well. Big three game w/ their rivals JJEF starting this weekend. Thanks for the info, rck!
What I believe PG lists is the fastest pitch clocked in the first inning of work (if at a showcase). Lamando did pitch for the NYY team at a showcase like event—the Area Code games. I am not sure where they clocked him at 91 ? They also saw him at numerous tournaments w Taconic. Vinnie in an earlier post had his FB sitting at 88 MPH on 3-4 guns of MLB scouts watching v. FL on a cold day – temp . in the 50’s. He can bring it. Plus, he does have a plus and then some curveball, and an effective a change. High IQ on the mound.
Saw him pitch at Mahopac last year. He threw a one-hitter, but lost 3-1. Great battle with Ryan Kuck, who threw a three-hitter for the ‘Pac. Definitely a special talent.
Mahopac has actually beat him two years running, as RCK also lost a game he started early in 2010 , mainly because Ketcham misplayed several routine fly balls in the OF behind him. I’ve said it on here previously going back to his Frosh year, he has one less than stellar start in his entire career – FL 2010 sectionals and even that was not really bad, as he was up 4-1 after 5 inn. , FL caught a few breaks , took advantage and someone took him yard in extras as maybe too little faith in his BP and they left him in too long. Be great to see him v. JJEF and Arlington in the next two weeks, as he has never lost a game to a Dutchess county foe. The twosome of Lamando and Todd has 6 quality starts so far. If they can keep that up, could be a really good year for RCK, in a year they had all of one starting player returning.
Nanuet beats Briarcliff 10 6….Wow!!
